Lemon has become my go-to in a similar way. Once you find that one scent that just clicks with your practice, it’s really hard to work with anything else. Certain botanicals just seem to speak directly to your energy. Sometimes it feels like they chose you. That personal connection to a specific plant ally is where it really happens.
The tricky bit is that the properties of lemon (in my case) are very different so you do have to find the line between what works with you and what works with the outcome. Probably one of the reasons why we’re almost always supposed to write our own rituals.
