# The Magical Properties of Peppermint (for Witches)

The peppermint + honey ‘sweet speech’ trick has been effective for me first of all. Stir tea clockwise with honey while rehearsing your words for a tough convo, then drink it before speaking. Hits the throat chakra without skin oil.

Peppermint’s my go-to ‘reset brain’ herb too. I weave it into rituals and divination flows smoother (more on that [here](https://forum.witchesgrimoire.org/t/why-do-you-write-your-own-spells/75)).

Brew strong peppermint tea, cool and strain it, add a splash of witch hazel or vodka to preserve. Mist your altar, tarot bag, pre-reading.

For candle work like your green ritual, carve tiny arrows or ‘roads’ in the wax first. Keeps peppermint’s speedy energy directed instead of blasting everywhere.
